Philo Affiliate

Our Philo Affiliate was organized by Soror Hazel Dean on January 31, 1960. Philo means “friend,” and this group is comprised of women of the highest character who “Provide Friendship and Support” to sorority members. Our local Philo Affiliate has contributed countless hours of community service through the sorority’s national programs, for example, Project Cradle Care, Soles for Little Souls, and Hattie McDaniel Breast Cancer Awareness.

Philo Marcia Hall-Hyman, current Philo President and Southwestern Regional Philo Parliamentarian, has also previously served as National Philo President, National Philo Vice President, National Philo Historian, Southwestern Regional Philo President, and Southwestern Regional Historian.
