Fundraisers

Our first Debutante Ball took place in December 1947, marking the beginning of a cherished tradition that has spanned over eight decades. Held biennially, this prestigious event is now recognized as the premier occasion for young women—ranging from high school juniors to first-year college students—in the Metro Austin area. The gala is the grand finale of a comprehensive program that includes a wide variety of social, cultural, educational, and community service activities designed to enrich the participants’ personal growth. Throughout these months of preparation, the debutantes engage in experiences that foster leadership, cultural awareness, and social responsibility, all while building lifelong bonds with their peers. For more than 80 years, this program has empowered young women by reinforcing critical principles of self-esteem, confidence, and poise, shaping them into future leaders and community contributors.

Our Debutante Ball, an event dedicated to raising scholarship funds that support the debutantes in their pursuit of higher education.  Our chapter has proudly awarded over $100,000 in scholarships to local young women, empowering them to achieve their college dreams.  Additionally, we have provided financial assistance to other local students, helping them reach their educational goals.
